The Sea and the Butterfly

Because no one told her how deep The white butterfly was utterly unafraid of the sea Believing the (vast) blue a patch of blue radish, she descended Young wings made limp, salted by a (sudden) swell The innocent princess soaked returned sodden (to shore) The flowers of the March sea unopened, the sad Butterfly’s belly ached (in chase) for the chill of the deep blue crescent moon.
